For an unforgettable stay and a comfortable overnight stay in the Hérault, choose the accommodation offered by Altéa campsite. Situated near Montpellier and close to Cap d’Agde, the campsite welcomes you to the heart of lush countryside.
Altéa offers a range of mobile-homes equipped with a kitchen, private sanitary facilities and a terrace with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. Each accommodation has 2 – 4 bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people.
If you want to spend your weekend in unusual accommodation, opt for a chalet or cottage. These wooden accommodations have private sanitary facilities, a fully-equipped kitchen and one or 2 bedrooms.
Still on the subject of unusual accommodation, let yourself be seduced by the charm of our tent lodges and coco-sweets for an unusual night’s sleep. The accommodation has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and private bathroom facilities.
Those who prefer to spend the night under the stars in a tent can rent one of the 50 available pitches.
Enjoy our heated swimming pool
The Altéa campsite, located in the Hérault region near Sète and Montpellier, has an aquatic area with a 112 m² swimming pool that will delight the whole family.
Our customers can enjoy swimming all year round, since the pool is heated. A 10 m² paddling pool is also available for children.
Camping Altéa’s pool area is equipped with over 70 deckchairs and parasols, so you can enjoy the sunshine around pools during your Hérault weekend.
Every Wednesdays from 7pm to 8 pm. in high season, children aged 6 and over can try their hand at scuba diving. The activity costs €20 per person, and includes a 15-minute introduction to scuba diving and a 15-minute exchange.
The campsite swimming pool is open to guests from 10am to 7pm, from April to November.

Various activities and entertainment for all the family are on offer during your Hérault weekend at camping Altéa. A sports hall, multi-sports pitch and pool, table football and tennis tables are available to guests. There is also a self-service library with a reading corner.
To keep your little ones occupied during your holiday, the Mister Flower children’s club welcomes them every morning from Monday to Friday. The club offers a range of workshops and activities in the arts, crafts and sports. A play area with an inflatable structure and a trampoline is also available to children on site.
Our restaurant offers a wide variety of typical Languedoc-Roussillon dishes. Make the most of the campsite’s restaurant area to have a good time with your family, your partner or your friends during your stay.
Our emergency grocery shop is open day and night, stocking basic necessities.
You can hire equipment such as baby chairs and cots during your stay. Other equipment such as fridges, irons and hairdryers are also available.
What to do in one week-end in the Hérault?
For your walks and activities near the estate, the Altéa campsite offers bike hire. You can also buy your bus tickets at the reception.
During your holiday or weekend in the Hérault with your family, your loved ones or for a thalasso therapy treatment, you absolutely must visit one of the best-known seaside resorts nearby. Choose from the beaches of Palavas-les-Flots, La Grande-Motte or Cap d’Agde.
You can also take advantage of your break in the Hérault to visit the town of Sète, nicknamed the Little Venice of the Languedoc. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy a hike to Mont Saint Clair to take in the views. The summit of Mont Saint Clair, with its breathtaking views over Sète and surrounding area, is also accessible by bus or car.
Pézenas is also one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Hérault. Its rich cultural and architectural heritage attracts many history buffs. After visiting Pézenas, don’t forget to make a diversion to the Languedoc-Roussillon vineyards to taste some of the best local wines.
Finish your weekend with a swim in the Etang de Thau, one of the must-do activities during your stay nearby. With a surface area of 7,500 hectares, it is the largest lake in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. Walk along the banks to meet hundreds of animal species and a wealth of vegetation.
